HOME Lenten Devotional
Our Witness Team spearheads the creation of a Lenten devotional booklet, made up of writings and drawings by our members and friends. The devotional features daily devotionals from Ash Wednesday through Easter. 2010 marks our 11th Lenten devotional booklet. "Writing and distributing a Lenten devotional has become an important part of our ministry," said The Rev. Mark Burgess, pastor at Good Shepherd.
The booklet is mailed to some 20,000 church neighbors and available for the congregation to share with others. Additional copies are sent to ministries supported by the church, including a local nursing home, a women's shelter, a family shelter and the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. A PDF of this year's booklet is available under DOWNLOADS below.
