Sunday Programs for Children
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sunday school is the centerpiece of our children’s programs. Every Sunday morning, children from age 2 through the 12th grade come to learn, play, grow, and celebrate their place in God’s world. We make crafts, learn Bible stories, perform skits, play games, sing, and make friends. Our classes meet in large, well-appointed classrooms with teachers who are passionate about bringing the Bible to life for these young disciples with the resources of United Methodist Sunday school curricula.
The first day of Sunday school for 2012 is Sunday, September 9, at 9:45 am.
We are going to use the NEW Grow, Proclaim, Serve! curriculum and the teachers and children all love it!

NURSERY
Children of all ages are welcome in our worship services, but if parents and children need a break, we offer nursery care for infants through age three during both services as well as during the Sunday school hour. Paid staff and loving church members provide a safe, happy experience for your children in our fully equipped nursery. Parents, we want you to have the freedom to worship each Sunday; you are not expected to volunteer in the nursery unless you’d like to. Children may come to the nursery before worship or at any point during the service. Greeters and ushers will be happy to direct you to our nursery room. We also have rocking chairs outside the worship area for those children and parents who need a little “breather” during the service.
WORSHIP DISCOVERY
Children from ages 4-6 who are too old for the nursery but a little too wiggly to sit through an entire worship service are invited to Worship Discovery. After the Children’s Message at the 11:00 service, if parents wish, these little ones can go with adult leaders (parents and volunteers serve as leaders of this program) for a time of friendship and fun that reinforces the message that God loves and welcomes every child. Joyce Lyn will be the coordinator for this program beginning fall 2012.
