TODAY: Find a map of Jerusalem (pictures too if you can). Follow Jesus’ path during Holy Week. On Palm Sunday, he rode down the Mount of Olives and entered the city near the modern-day Gate of Stephen. Tradition places the Last Supper at Coenaculum on the mount early Christians called Zion. Jesus was beaten and humiliated after being seized in the Garden of Gethsemane, probably near Antonia Fortress, which is beneath the Monastery of Flagellation and Convent of Our Lady of Zion. Via Dolorosa, the Sorrowful Way, leads to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, hallowed as the place of Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection.
