The Struggle for Perseverance
What is your first reaction to problems that pop up in your life? If you are like most of us, we immediately get the tool box out and attempt to fix the problem ourselves. Too often, we forget that we cannot fix problems without some heavenly help. We struggle with answers and get frustrated that we cannot solve them quickly, on our timetable or in our manner. When it finally dawns on us that our resolutions are not working, we then turn to God for answers. When I find myself in that mode, I have a visual image of God and Christ
telling me with loving kindness (and a giant 2 x 4): If only you
would have asked for wisdom, my child. Christ provides awesome answers! And, when we have a total personal relationship
with him, we have direct lines to him to help us with any matter that
may arise. We just need to remember to seek HIM first in prayer, before
getting out the tool box. Jim Kopp |
