Colossians 3:12-15

I am Thankful

TODAY: Have a substantive conversation with a child today. Listen.

I have many things to be thankful for. These are a few.
My family: My family is very special to me because they give me what I need — like respect and love.

School: I like all my teachers, and I work hard. I am learning a lot of interesting things.

Food: Food makes me full instead of hungry. Macaroni and cheese is my favorite. I am especially thankful for the food I have because I know not everyone in the world has enough to eat.

Friends: My friends help me with my math homework and other subjects. We have fun together and also help others.

Home: Everyone needs a home, but not everyone has one. My home is warm in the winter. I want to help people who don’t have a home to find one.

Church: I am thankful for this church because we learn about Jesus, the Bible, and Mary and Joseph. I am glad I have met people from this church like the Lynns, the Heeters, the Fletchers, and the Hus, and I am glad Caryn is my mentor.

Even though I have a lot to be grateful for, I also have some concerns. My main concern is for people who don’t have families to love and care for them. Everybody is meant to be loved and cared for — everybody in the world.
