Read: Matthew 11:28-30

INSOMNIA RX

TODAY: Do something special with your waking hours today. Start reading a book, and plan to finish it within the next week. Share some of its insights with a friend.

Sometimes I have had trouble getting to sleep at night. Somewhere along the line I worked out a routine:

- Get warm and comfortable.

- Pray the Lord's Prayer, slowly, considering each word.

- Pray for our country and for world peace.

- Pray for our marriage, remembering our many blessings.

- Pray for our children, asking for His continued support and blessings.

- Pray for our grandchildren, asking His help with their growth and development.

- Pray for my departed parents and sisters and their peace.

- Pray for my nieces and nephews and their families for a good life.

- Pray for my departed aunts, uncles and cousins and their contributions to life.

Frequently I do not make it to number 4 or even to number 3. It has been months since I made it to number 6. Maybe the Lord is telling me that He'll take care of things. Not a bad idea to help a person sleep.
