GOD'S WORK
I have plenty of work to do, and I do not mind. God is bigger than just preaching to good folks or my kind. Come hell or high water, the truth must be told. I must be bold. We must be bold. You must be bold! People in good measure, perhaps for good reason, feel they have better things to do than to hear about what God has done for them. People are in a hurry, in a rush to do nothing. What a mess. But stop and smell the coffee… or roses. You can be sure that God has His hand in it somewhere. Give those around you style, give them sass, but tell them what God has done for you. Break out the brass. If we had a thousand years and a thousand tongues, we could never thank God enough. Don’t be tough. It’s the sick that need healing. Have we not heard that before? Have we been judged? Have we been stoned? I say preach. I say reach. I say work. Fight the right fight. We never know our last night. We never know who will light or what is in sight. How can you love a God whom you have never seen? Have we not heard that before: Is it truth or folklore? The world needs peace not truffles and lazy trinkets, drinks and winks. Be that Good Samaritan, be that oil that washed His feet. Be what you may, but be, and work a good cause this day. Marco Ali, inmate, |
