HEARTS BURNING
Prayers spoken
For no reason To sing without meaning – Love defines lyric You know it when you hear it You feel it When you’re not concealing anything My heart’s out in the open Pulsing on the table Waiting for you To do what you do with it You’ve taken my routine Put it in a pan and scrambled it Until it could hardly handle the heat Of your kitchen The friction your love creates Oh, Lord, your love lights fires And I’ll keep mine burning To share it Hearth to hearth And heart to heart.
